At around 12:15 hrs the Port Penn fire co. along with Delaware City and Middletown were alerted to assist Odessa with a structure fire. Before responding fireboard upgraded and advised the first out units that they were recieving several calls and upgraded the alarm to work bringing Townsend and Christiana. Tanker 29 went responding u/c of Asst. Chief Ryan Stuckert arriving first they pulled two handlines and split the crew beginning an interior attack. 29-4 arrived not to soon after taking the hydrant on the corner. Due to the heavy fire load throughout the structure the evacuation tones were sounded per D-24. Units were o/s for several hours for suppression and overhaul.
