On Thursday morning a crew of eight committee members went to Meyersdale, PA. to do the final inspection on the new MRU 29 and to bring it home. The committee spent Thursday doing the final inspection. Friday the members completed another final inspection and did the training on the truck before bringing it home. The truck will be lettered this week and will also have the radios installed as well. The truck is equipted with all of the Standing Water Rescue gear, Swift Water Rescue gear, and Ice Rescue gear. A complete list will be listed with the pictures on this site once the lettering is done. The truck also will be used to pull the 27 foot Boston Whaler that is known to most as 29 Marine 1. The MRU will have a computer installed which will have a weather radar system on board for up to date forcasts while operating in the field.
