At 20:08 hours a citizen stopped by the station and advised the members that there was a marsh fire on rte 9 between town and Augustine Beach. The station notified fireboard of the situation and responded in 29-0 & Argo 29 with a crew of 4 under the command of Asst. Chief Stuckert and the Tanker also responded under the command of Asst. Chief Newman with a crew of four. Both units arrived to find a small field fire that was quickly extinguished at which time, 29-8-B placed it under control. Units Responding: 29-0 w/Argo 29, Tanker 29
