PPVFC Members Take Part in 5K Run/Walk For Emily Burge - New Castle

On Sunday, several members of the Port Penn Fire Company took part in the 5K Run/Walk put on by the New Castle County Volunteer Fireman's Association to benefit Emily Burge the daughter of LODD Michelle Smith from station 15 (Delaware City). Career staff Mark Willis, Deputy Chief Brian Dunkelberger, Chief Frank Schoeffler, and Brian's daughter Cecila Dunkelberger took MRU 29 up for display during the event. Members that took place in the run/walk were Enigne Captain Sean Johnston, Past Presdient Terry Schoeffler, Kim Schoeffler, Julie Johnston, Scott Newell, Sandy Johnston, Sean & Julie's son Sean Johnston, Jr., Frank & Kim's son Benjamin Schoeffler, and Vice President Taylor's family. Congrats to Benjamin Schoeffler for placing 2nd in the 14 and under division and to Sean Johnston, Jr. for placing 3rd in the 14 and under division. The officer's and member's are proud of each and everyone that took part in this event and the help in making it a success.
