While speaking with Life Member William Marshall, he told us that the first truck we ever bought was bought by the membership from Tommy Texis who had bought the truck off of the Minquas Fire Co. in 1951 which started the Augustine Beach Fire Co. Mr. Marshall told us that the original truck was a 1926 US. He also stated that it wasn't until 1958, when the Augustine Beach Fire Co. was changed to the Port Penn Vol. Fire Co. and at that time we were accepted into the County Fireman's Association.
