Water Rescue Drill - Reedy Island Sand Bar

On Sunday, the station was alerted along with station 15 (Delaware City), Salem County 18 (Lower Alloway's), Ambulance 64 (Symrna American Legion), and Trooper 5 Heavy (State Police) for a simulated boat accident in the river. We responded with 29-Marine 1, 29 Marine 2 and station 15 sent Marine 1 & 2. Salem County 18 responded two vessels as well. 29-Capt-1 (T. Riale) and 15-Capt-1 (A. Morales) responded to Augustine Beach and formed a unified command. 15-Capt-2 (A. MacKenzie) assumed rescue branch and advised 9 patients in the water. A level 3 MCI was asked for bring 18-Marine 1 (New Castle), Fireboat 20 (Holloway Terrace) and Fireboat 7 (Wilmington Fire). All small vessels along with three rescue swimmers were able to retrive the 9 victims and put onto the big boats for transport or get them hooked up to Trooper 5 Heavy. Trooper 5 Heavy transported three victims to Augustine and the other boats transported 6 to the Delaware City Dock.
