Meeting Night Brings Runs - Port Penn

On Tuesday, August 11th, The members of the PPVFC was gathering at the station for the start of the monthly meeting night, when the station was alerted for a mvc at Port Penn Road & Pole Bridge Road at 1838 hrs. The Ambulance responded with Chief Schoeffler and A/C R. Stuckert at 1839 hrs. Rescue 29 responded shortly after under the command of Deputy B. Dunkelberger. Both units arrived to find a single vehichle off of the road and Deputy 29 had command. One patient was evaulated and refused service. Command placed the scene under control at 1902 hrs. Once the units returned to the station, the board was started and was soon interupted due to the station being alerted for a disabled vessel in the Delaware River off of Bayview Beach. MRU 29 along with Marine 1 responded under the command of Chief Schoeffler and Van 29 along with Marine 2 responded under the command of A/C Stuckert. Both veesels made the responce in the water and towed the disabled veseel to shore. chief Schoeffler placed it under control at 2005 hrs. Once units returned to the station they finished the night with the regular company meeting.
