On 6/8/11 Station 29 was alerted to assist stations 1/27 on a straw field fire in the area of Middleneck Road and Route 301. Brush 29-0 along with Argo 29 made the response with a crew of four under command of Career FF/EMT Conrad. Upon arrival of station 29 units we found crews from Middletown, Odessa, Townsend working a 25-30 acre active field fire being pushed across the freshly cut field by a heavy wind condition. The crew from 29-0 went to work in the field to assist with suppression while the ARGO transported manpower to the seat of the fire which was a great distance off the roadway.
