On October 17th at 21:51 Hrs the station was aleted for an Engine to assist Delaware City Fire Company on a House Fire in the 200 BLk of washington Street. Deputy 15 arrived to find a large multi residential building with Heavy Fire Showing from the Bravo Side. Engine 296 made the response with a full crew was assigned to the suppression efforts and Duty Chief Schoeffler (298B) was assigned division 2A after completing a walk around at the request of the IC. The Chief and the company operated for and extended period of time in suppression mode as the building was a large three story wood frame building with balloon construction that had been divided into several apartments which lead to extension throughout the entire structure.
