~~As 2015 is coming to an end the Port Penn Fire Company has seen another year with increased calls for service. The EMS call volume has shown a 42% increase in calls for service in just one year. The rising population below the canal and the increased strain on companies above the canal have been major contributors. The Fire Company continues to operate its paid staffing program and currently provides twenty four hour a day coverage with three paid staff member using a mixed rotation of full time and part time employees who work together to provide the Port Penn and surrounding communities a quick and efficient response to their calls for help. The Web Page and Facebook page are still being redone and as such we have not been able to keep the community as aware as we would like. The company was very active with training missions as well as responses. I have attached a few photos of the crews operating on various events during the year and I look forward to reporting on a more consistent basis the operations of the Company for 2016. The Port Penn Volunteer Fire Company wants to thank the community for the support we have received and our most valuable resource the men and women who commit their time to ensure that the operations of the company are maintained.
