On April 20th the Port Penn Fire company and Delaware City Fire Company were alerted for a level 2 small outside building fire in the unit block of north congress street Port Penn. Rescue Engine 296 responded with a crew of 5 to find several out buildings on fire along with a fastly spreading marsh fire. Additional resources were called and the crews went to work stretching multiple lines to knock the original fire and protect several exposures. Crew from Delaware City, Odessa, Middletown and Good Will Fire Company operated for 2 hours to contain the fire and ensure all hot spots were extinguished.
