On Sunday at 16:34 hrs the Volunteer Hose Company was alerted for a working house fire in the area of 200 Blk of Vincent Circle in the community of Middletown Village. Rescue Engine 296 was dispatched as a RIT company but reassigned to suppression as they arrived on location. RE 296 arrived on location an secured a third hydrant for units on scene. The crew then went into service in exposure #3 hooking ceilings and extinguishing fire as they went. Crews operated for several hours in very hot and humid conditions. There were (2) firefighter injuries, both of which have been treated and released.
