Chief 29 and 296 responded to assist station 18 (Good Will Fire Company) with a confirmed aircraft crash south of the New Castle County Airport. First arriving units confirmed a crash with a fire and extension to an outbuilding. Chief 29 and Deputy 29 took command roles in setting up a search of the roofs of the near by buildings and the north side of the crash site. Units operated on scene for 1 hour assisting as needed. Upon clearing the incident 296 responded to station 18 and provided a cover up unitl their units could clear the scene. There was one fatal injury in this crash event.
