Stations 29 and 1-5 were alerted for an outside fire on the 900 Block of Port Penn Road Saturday afternoon the 22nd of February. Tanker 29 made the response along with 29-1 and arrived to find a large area burning well off the roadway spreading to nearby marsh and woods. Due to our mutual aid agreement with Delaware City Fire Company they responded immediately with Gator 1-5 and Squad 1-5 as well bringing extra man power and units to assist. Command requested 2 additional brush units bringing Odessa and Middletown Fire Companies to assist. Units worked on scene for just over an hour controlling the fire spread and brining the scene under control.
