At approximately 2100hrs. Port Penn, Delaware City, Goodwill, Salem City marine units, along with the NCC Dive and Surface Water Rescue Teams were dispatched to a capsized vessel in the Delaware River in the area of Augustine Beach. Units arrived to the area conducting a search later joined by additional marine units and ground units along the shore from Odessa, Townsend, Holloway Terrace, and Cranston Heights Fire Companies. Also supporting the search was Delaware State Police Aviation, DNREC, and USCG. All agencies worked seamlessly to meticulously search the area in the river and along the shore. At approximately 0000hrs. the incident was turned over to the USCG.
