12 rescue boat operators from Port Penn, Delaware City, and Good Will Fire Companies recieved training conducted by the US Coast Guard to become NASBLA certified in search and rescue operations. Operators spent the week in classroom and on the water building upon their skill sets, as well as learning new ones to successfully complete and pass the course. The course also had the added advantage of training with the local Coast Guard Sector to improve operational cohesion during incidents on the Delaware River.
