72B2 - Medical Emergency on vessel in the Delaware River south of the C&D canal

On August 23rd at 23:41 Hrs a water rescue box was dispatched for a medical emergency on a boat that was being towed. The assignment consisted of rescue boats 15,18,29 and DCFC Bls. Rescue Boats arrived on location to find one person who had suffered a severe laceration after their vessel had hit a large wake. Crews provided EMS care and then transported the patient to the Delaware City Marina.

Water Rescues and Boat Training make for a busy day on the River

On August 7th the Port Penn Fire Company was participating in a joint Delaware State Fire School Training program for Rescue Boat Operator with Rescue boats 18 and 15. During this trainng session a water rescue box was dispatched to the area of Augustine Beach for an overturned boat with people in the water.



Vehicle Fire on the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal

Sunday, June 19, 2016
On June 19 at 04:55 hours, Station 29 was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire along the banks of the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal just east of Reedy Point Bridge. Rescue/Engine 29-6 with three (3) responded as well as Deputy 29, (Assistant Chief) 29-8A and Station 29 Fire Police. On the arrival of Rescue/Engine 29-6, a single vehicle was located along the canal bank. The vehicle, a Suzuki Samari was completely consumed by fire. The crew of 29-6 under the command of Deputy 29, extinguished the remaining debris and the scene was turned over to Delaware State Police.

69E6 Working House Fire

Thursday, June 16, 2016
On June 16th at 02:14 Am the Townsend Fire Company was dispatched for a working house fire in the 100 blk of Masseys Church Road. Tanker 29 was added onto the box for working alarm assignment. The Tanker responded with a crew of 3 and operated on the fire scence for an hour doing various tasks until released by command.
